Sometimes I get overwhelmed when playing chess... especially when Iâm playing someone a lot better than me. The key is to stay calm and start strong. This generally means sticking with the basics! There is three golden rules I always start out with: 1) Control the center. 2) Develop your pieces to good, relevant squares . 3 Bring your king to safety.

I heard what you had to say with all of your favorite opening moves!! Personally I prefer to play as the white pieces and the most sure fire first moves are 1.e4, 1.d4, 1.c4 and 1.Nf3!

The rules are that you have to capture a piece with every move, a piece can only capture another piece twice, and if a king is on the board it has to capture the last piece. You have to complete the puzzle successfully on your first try! This is my first go round at it! While I made this video, I was feeling a little sick this week and wanted to do a tutorial earlier for yâall but this is something easy you can do for practice and itâs great for helping you learn how the pieces move and also how to think ahead! If you havenât seen The Queens Gambit on Netflix you should give it a try. I have to say itâs an incredible show and it honestly gave me the confidence to make this page and share my content with you all. Food for thought: The game of chess can be traced back nearly 1500 years ago. Donât you guys find it amazing that something has remained so relevant for that long just as it is?? No added bells or whistles but the thing thatâs keeping it relevant is a shared group of peopleâs interest from generation to generation.

Finally, Tip 10!!!) Win the âEndgameâ! After youâre down to just a few pieces, the endgame begins. Now the pawns become more important. If you can advance a pawn to the farthest row away from you, that pawn becomes a queen. Let your king attack, too. This is really the time to feel like a boss bitch and use your powerful pieces! Checkmate your opponent and go get a glass of wine or whiskey to celebrate! đˇđĽđĽđžâ¨
