Added 2018-11-16 01:45:14 +0000 UTCSIDE NOTE: I realize this isn't a "sexy" picture, but I thought you guys (being men) might think it was pretty interesting that a wild Whitetail deer walked into my yard, and came straight up to me tame as could be! He was like a dog! He followed us around and we feed him apples, and petted him!! I was blown away. I have no idea where he came from, but let me tell you he was completely tame. I was a little bit afraid of him, because as we all know a buck can go ballistic on you and be deadly with his rack. However, this deer was totally chill. He followed us around for several hours. We thought about calling Fish & Game, but then we were worried they might kill him or something crazy, so we didn't. Anyway, he hung around for half the day, and then walked into the woods and we never saw him again. I hope he's ok. After he left and we started giving it more thought we figured a distant neighbor must have been harboring this deer as a pet, and either the deer escaped or he was released. He was rather thin and his hooves were crazy long -- almost to the point he had trouble walking. It was a little sad not knowing the real story, but he was definitely a nice deer :) so I hope he was treated well where ever he lived.
