Added 2021-01-18 17:13:02 +0000 UTCI have a new shoot I’m posting today that’s VERY POV-centric and I’m so nervous/excited bc I’ve definitely never put anything out that feels this intimate before. I hope y’all will like it!! Also, someone asked in the last post what happened to the Cortana shoot (and my more produced content) and I answered there, but I wanted to share in a post, too, because it’s important to me: I still want to do really big, fun sets that are more produced. My recent string of candids and selfies aren’t all I’m ever going to do. The reason I made the decision to delay Cortana (and a big Star Wars thing I had planned) is because those shoots take more people. Cortana in particular will be a 6+ hour bodypaint and that involves me and 2 artists being all up in each other’s space for hours and hours. We originally intended to shoot the set in November but Covid cases in Austin started climbing then and even with me paying for everyone to get tested, there’s no guarantees and I felt it wasn’t worth the risk as our hospitals got more full. Now, the cases here are higher than ever and we have a field hospital in our convention center (the same one where RTX is normally!) so obviously it just doesn’t feel safe to do right now. I had a full set and a large, lit holodeck podium created just for the Cortana shoot so it’ll definitely happen when it’s safer to do so - as will the Star Wars stuff and other bigger shoots I want to do. So fear not - that’s still happening! I just want to be really sure I’m keeping myself and everyone I work with as safe as possible in the process.
